We may collect your name, telephone number, email address, usage data and cookies when you contact us, subscribe or request a reservation.
Purpose and legal basis
Data is processed to provide requested services, manage reservations and communications, meet legal obligations, measure website use and protect legitimate interests. Processing is based on consent, contract, legal obligations or legitimate interest, as applicable.
Processing, security and retention
Appropriate technical and organisational measures protect personal data. Data is retained only as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law. Authorised providers may process data on our behalf under suitable safeguards.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with the competent authority. Contact info@marecrudo.com; requests are handled free of charge, normally within one month.
International transfers and updates
Where data is transferred outside the European Union, appropriate legal safeguards are used. This policy may be updated; please review this page periodically.
Newsletter and promotional emails
We only add you to the newsletter if you explicitly ask by ticking the optional box (never pre-ticked) in the booking form, the chat or the newsletter form. We then email you a confirmation link: your subscription only becomes active when you press the confirm button (double opt-in). We record the date, time and source of your consent.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data processed: email, language, name if provided, and email-open data. We send at most one newsletter per week.
You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, via the "Unsubscribe" link in every newsletter or by writing to info@marecrudo.com. This does not affect service emails about your bookings. We keep newsletter data until you withdraw; after unsubscribing we keep only your address on a suppression list so we never email you again.
Virtual assistant (chat)
To use the chat we ask for your email so our team can reply and handle any booking. Conversations are kept for up to 12 months and processed by an AI provider acting on our behalf. The email you give in the chat is never used for the newsletter without your explicit consent.
Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
